What we build

Precision hardware for
programs that can't slip.

Send us a drawing and we'll build to print, or bring us a requirement and we'll engineer the part. Either way, one team owns the result.

Machined components

Multi-axis CNC parts in aluminum, steel and engineered plastics, from single prototypes to repeat production lots.

Custom gaskets & seals

Cut-to-print gaskets and seals in rubber, fiber and specialty sheet materials, marked with your part numbers.

Panels & sheet metal

Machined and fabricated panels, covers, brackets and enclosures, with cutouts, windows and hardware installed.

Tooling, fixtures & prototypes

Molds, drill and assembly fixtures, inspection jigs and rapid prototypes that keep your program on schedule.

Why Tera for aerospace

Engineering support with a real machine shop behind it.

Your engineers get answers from people who also run the machines, which means faster quotes, practical DFM feedback and fewer surprises at inspection.

  • Build to print, or design to specWe work from your drawings and models, or we engineer the part from your requirements.
  • Lightweighting with FEAWe simulate stresses and deflection so we can remove weight without losing strength.
  • Part identificationWe engrave, laser-mark or print part numbers and identification to your drawing callouts.
  • Large-envelope machiningOur multi-axis CNC mills handle parts up to 6' × 3' × 4', backed by EDM and surface grinding.
  • Prototype to productionWe take you from 3D-printed form-fit checks to machined and molded production parts with the same team.
Quality & traceability

Every part accounted for,
from material to delivery.

An ITAR-registered shop with ISO 9000-compliant quality processes and documented traceability on every lot we ship.

ISO 9000 compliance

Controlled procedures, calibrated equipment and corrective action under an ISO 9000-compliant quality system.

Document traceability

Material certs, travelers, inspection records and certificates of conformance tied to each order and drawing revision.

Batch & lot numbering

Every production lot gets a batch number that traces back to its raw material, machine and inspection data.

Part marking & serialization

Laser-marked, engraved or printed part numbers and unique serial numbers, applied to your drawing callouts.

QC inspection & testing

First article, in-process and final inspection, with dimensional reports delivered with your parts.

Process & production planning

Documented setups and process plans, so repeat orders run the same way and ship on schedule.

How we work

From RFQ to
delivered parts.

You get clear communication and a single point of contact at every step.

01

Review & quote

We review your drawings, models, materials, tolerances and quantities, and flag manufacturability concerns early.

02

Engineer & plan

We handle CAM programming, fixture design and process planning, or full design engineering if you need it.

03

First article

We build and inspect first parts against your drawing before the production run starts.

04

Production & delivery

We machine, finish, mark and package parts, then deliver on schedule with repeat-order support.

ToolingAluminum and steel molds, fixtures and jigs designed and built in-house
Prototyping15 FDM printers (up to 19" × 19" × 19"), 2 high-resolution SLA printers, silicone casting
EngineeringMechanical design, FEA, reverse engineering from samples, robotic automation
ElectronicsIntegrated electronics and PCB design, motion control, battery-powered systems, wireless (LoRa, Wi-Fi, BLE 5.0)
QualityITAR registered, CAGE code, ISO 9000-compliant quality system, composites certified (Composite Training Center, Cerritos)

ITAR registered, with a CAGE code. We handle export-controlled drawings and technical data under ITAR. If your program also needs AS9100 flow-downs, material certifications or AS9102 first article inspection reports, include that in your RFQ and we'll confirm how we'll meet each one before we quote.

FAQ

Aerospace & defense questions.

Are you ITAR registered?

Yes. Tera is registered with the U.S. State Department under ITAR and has a CAGE code, so we can quote and build export-controlled parts. Our quality system is ISO 9000 compliant.

Can you build directly from our drawings?

Yes. Send drawings and 3D models (STEP preferred) with materials, finishes, tolerances and quantities, and we'll quote build-to-print. We'll also point out any features that drive cost.

Do you handle low-volume and prototype quantities?

Yes. One-off prototypes and short runs are a core part of our work, and we can scale to repeat production lots on the same setups.

Can you mark and serialize parts?

Yes. We engrave, laser-mark or print part numbers, lot numbers and unique serial numbers on parts and gaskets to match your drawing callouts, and record them in your inspection paperwork.

Can you reverse engineer a legacy part?

Often, yes. With a sample part and whatever documentation exists, we can model it, recommend improvements and produce replacements.

What file formats do you accept?

STEP, IGES, Parasolid, SolidWorks and PDF drawings all work. If you only have a sample or a sketch, that's a fine place to start too.
